Boom : Move

Mondays at 9 a.m.

Boom will be on a winter break. Classes will resume on Monday, March 9.

Join Maryanne & move through the decades in this dance-based workout class that improves cardiovascular endurance. Burn calories and have fun as you learn moves from every era!

$6.00 drop-in fee or you can purchase a 12-session card for $48 ($4.00 per class) that you can use for ANY of the Tai Chi, Boom: Move or Yoga classes offered at the library. Or free for those with silver sneakers on Medicare!

Gentle Hatha Yoga Class

Mondays, 7:00 p.m.

Wednesdays & Saturdays, 9:00 a.m.

Kathy Carey is the instructor of this series. This is an hour-long beginner level class. Gentle Yoga is the perfect start for those new to yoga, providing the gentle and healing benefits of yoga.

Tuesdays, 10 a.m. – Come join us for age-appropriate crafts, stories, music, and parade through the library with instruments!

Knit for Charity

Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

The group is open to knitters and crocheters of all abilities. This group is gathering to knit and crochet together and will collaborate on blankets for children who are gravely ill or homeless.

Multi-ethnic group of adults practicing tai chi in park.  Main focus on senior man (60s).

Tai Chi

Tuesdays 6:30 p.m. - Beginner Class

Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. - Intermediate Class

Tai Chi is a great form of exercise. Suitable for people who have pain or limited mobility due to arthritis. Wear comfortable, loose clothing and shoes with little to no tread. Students will be standing for the whole class, but chairs will be available. Both classes are an hour long.

Stephen Ackermann is the instructor of the beginner level class and Kathy Carey is the instructor of the intermediate level class. If this is your first time doing Tai Chi we suggest starting with our Tuesday evening Beginner class.

Sew On & Sew Forth

Fourth Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

Learn to sew in a fun supportive environment! In this class, you'll learn how to thread and operate a sewing machine, and leave with a beautiful project you'll be proud to say you made yourself! Designed for first-time sewers, this is also a good class for anyone who hasn't sat down at a machine since middle school.  Sewing machines and supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your machine from home, just let us know.

Book Club

Third Saturday at 4 p.m.

Join our book group to be part of a lively discussion of all things literary.  The group selects books for the year based upon member suggestions.  This group reads fiction and non-fiction books.

CookBook Club

Second Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Join us for our new cookbook club! Pick a recipe from the book, prepare it and bring it to share. Please, no substitutions or changes to the recipe. We will discuss what we liked and disliked about the book and a copy of the cookbook will be raffled off to a participant at the dinner.
Please stop by the Library to sign-up for the recipe you plan to make.
