Yoga Classes

Gentle Hatha Yoga Class

Mondays, 7:00 p.m.

Wednesdays & Saturdays, 9:00 a.m.

Kathy Carey is the instructor of this series. This is an hour-long beginner level class. Gentle Yoga is the perfect start for those new to yoga, providing the gentle and healing benefits of yoga.

$6.00 drop-in fee or you can purchase a 12-session card for $48 ($4.00 per class) that you can use for ANY of the Tai Chi or Yoga classes offered at the library.

Boom : Move

Mondays at 10:30 a.m.

Join Maryanne & move through the decades in this dance-based workout class that improves cardiovascular endurance. Burn calories and have fun as you learn moves from every era!

Each class is $6 or free for those with silver sneakers on Medicare!

Multi-ethnic group of adults practicing tai chi in park.  Main focus on senior man (60s).

Tai Chi

Tuesdays 6:00 p.m. - Beginner Class

Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. - Intermediate Class

Tai Chi is a great form of exercise. Suitable for people who have pain or limited mobility due to arthritis. Wear comfortable, loose clothing and shoes with little to no tread. Students will be standing for the whole class, but chairs will be available. Both classes are an hour long.

Stephen Ackermann is the instructor of the beginner level class and Kathy Carey is the instructor of the intermediate level class. If this is your first time doing Tai Chi we suggest starting with our Tuesday evening Beginner class.

Knit for Charity

First Tuesday of each month, 10 a.m.

The group is open to knitters and crocheters of all abilities. This group is gathering to knit and crochet together and will collaborate on blankets for children who are gravely ill or homeless.

Community Quilting

2nd Tuesday of every other month, 10:00 a.m.

Each meeting members of the community meet to make quilts together for Project Linus. Bring your sewing machine and pack a lunch, or come and help with other parts of the quilt-making like tying. No materials or quilting expertise necessary.

We use Lego Creator kits to create many types of projects and we do other creative building challenges. For all ages!

Book Club

Third Saturday of each month, 4:00 p.m.

Join our book group to be part of a lively discussion of all things literary.  The group selects books for the year based upon member suggestions.  This group reads fiction and non-fiction books.
