Kate McGloughlin will be joined by April M. Beisaw, LeAnne Avery, and Adam Bosch, to discuss, among other things, the DEP land acquisition program and its effect on the historical/ecological culture of the Town of Olive, and the need to protect both the watershed, as well as certain historical sites in Olive.

Intro to Beekeeping with Rob Overton

For this workshop we will focus on how to start beekeeping in a sustainable way. Becoming self-sufficient in expanding your apiary with quality acclimatized stock is key to success. In addition to covering the basics of honeybee biology and colony management, we will provide insight on the best options for keeping healthy bees in the Hudson Valley region.
